ABOUT THE DERMATOMES

Choosing female figures and the concept of spinal dermatomes allowed for the reimagination of bodies and anatomical physical differences. The series hopes to provide a chance for each of us to reflect on the differences we each bring to medicine and found within our patients. Each piece originally began as a digital rendering and  recreated with acrylics on canvas.

This series was created during her year as the Artist in Residence for the American Medical Women’s Association and presented in person at the National conference
